anyone changed out nav/radio/display in 04 to add bluetooth connectivity

I have gotten an 04 and would like to get rid of the stock system and replace with high end aftermarket system. Is that possible? Would it be stupid to do? my 01 has a fabulous Alipne system and I hate to part with it.

i guess with the integrated HVAC Toyota sort of screwed those of us who want to upgrade or update the stereo system.

Getting rid of the factory NAV is often talked about, but I have yet to see a report of it actually being done (in a 2003+).

Lots of threads on adding VAIS or USA-SPEC aftermarket units for streaming BT audio/satellite/AUX input...
