Looks like fun, I need to get out there more. Where'd you go? Saw the 40 of CL, it's too bad he's getting rid of it so soon.

we went on sardine.

we are looking for some chevy TBI to swap on.
truck needs the EFI, a locker and traction bar. and a cage of course.

thing does surprisingly well for old stock on 37s

Cool. What's your thoughts on the winch "ropes"..? Better than a cable? Do they have any spring to them to deal with?

I haven't unspooled the cable on my winch since I got it. Better pull it out and take a peek.

Synthetic is light and nice, but $$. If winch comes with it i see as bonus. To go to syn its not to cheap and need to change your fairlead.

Id switch in a heartbeat if it were me and had $$.

I have good steel line so not worth it in my place right now.

Just my ,02

Thanks Ty. :) I'd be a little leary about it getting near anything sharp that could slice it. Must be some tough stuff though.

Ask knolly about cleaning syn line at deer creek.

It's stronger than cable and MUCH easier to handle. Add the fact that it floats and will never stab you like steel cable it's an easy choice.

I like the rope.

My winch thing was a rebuild project so i sprung for rope. It also shaved over 25 lbs off the 8274.

I have broken it once, luckily it was about 12ft from the end. Quick field repair and back in biz.

Its like finger cuffs....

Its also nice because you can unspool a bunch and make a clean toss with it. Like if you were towing and got hung up in the middle of a creek. :flipoff2:

I didn't think anyone had a winch that day :lol:

When we're all working on your axles I'll unspool my cable, hook a couple shackles on it and take turns seeing who can come closest to a "stationary object"....on Jesse's driveway. Maybe, let's see...ya, Ty drinking a cold beer...? Should he be facing us or away.....?? I'll have to get a poll going...:p

All kidding aside, I think If the club had a rig which could benefit from dropping 24lbs of cable weight mine would be it.
