Anybody have a hood protector?

My FJC's windshield crack is almost pillar to pillar, so I think it's time to get a new one. Toyota's hood protector alludes to protecting against flying rocks. Anybody have one that can attest to this? I'm not holding my breath, but anything that'll stave off another windshield in the future may be worth it. Thanks.

I have one that came on my 08 it does exactly what they say it does. Protect the hood. The windshisld is too straight up to be protected by anything just like my '71 FJ40.
