Got the 75Pig running... borrowed from my 72 FJ40 a couple of parts. Anybody got a spare carburator cable and bracket with spring tensioner. The cable and bracket pics are off my 72 -- right length but could use pedal bracket (FJ40 style) to act as stopper on the FJ55 pedal.

FJ55 pedal was modified by cutting a slit in the arm to place cable and barrel -- a metal stop is attached with a hose clamp --- I did not do this hack ob, it came this way.

Does anybody have the linkage rods to connect to the pedal and carb -- I have the pedal and bracket that mounts onto firewall and the carb plate but nothing else.

My friend Chuck aka cruisintiger has the throttle cable I told him to look for this thread but he said he couldnt find it. Drop him a pm and tell him your the guy I mentioned and I'm sure he'd sell it to you. Its just sitting on a parts rig in his backyard.

O.K., 75Pig, let's see if we can get you taken care of. Got your PM, but I think we're going to need pics to figure out all the linkage that you need. This may get complicated. Got an SOR catalog so we can use part numbers? The dash stuff and running lights are easy. Any of this linkage look useful?

Do you still have the bracket on the firewall that holds this end of the throttle linkage?
I have one that looks sorta similar but not the same. Don't know what year it's off of

Finding more stuff you asked about. Which window handles do you like?
Found another/different linkage rod....

Pighead -- thanks a bunch

I need to look at the pics you sent and post up some pics. You are right -- looks complicated but I do have the pedal and the bracket that mounts to the firewall and the carb "linkage setup" I do NOT have anything else.

I am lucky enough to get my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday so will be out of commission for a few days.

Pighead, or anyone else, I have a question about the window cranks. Will the newer rubber/plastic coated ones fit onto an older style (chrome style) window? Specter didn't have any more of the Chrome ones last time I looked, and besides, I'm tired of breaking off the rubber grip.

Thanks,
Mike

To answer your question about window cranks, fj55mike, yes.

Are you interested in selling or giving away your radio in that picture?
Does it work?

Yes and I don't know.

Here's that radio, bonzai, just noticed that the ant. lead has been cut.
No knobs.
You want this for tunes?
Might not even be worth one beer...

75Pig Pictures

Pighead

Here are the pictures. One is the 74 carb with linkage adapter, the other is the linkage stuff I have on the firewall. Need the stuff in between.

Thanks

Will PM you with some other stuff -- the pictures above look good, even the plastic vent rod.

Hey, 75PIG, your PM box is full.
More bad news. Both posts on the turn signals are shot. I had not noticed before...
Still going through piles of Pigparts to fill to complete your order. You have no idea of the piles to go through...I had no idea of the piles. Time to get organized. Time to get rid of some stuff...
Good news:
Found another window crank handle, different from the rest.
I think there's an early air filter in there somewhere...

Do you think it is worth it?

That, my friend, is a question only you can answer...

Any chances of energizing it?

Energize it? Hmmm...

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Are you ready?
Igor: Are you sure this is how they did it?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Yes! It's all written down in the notes! Now tie off the kites and hurry down as fast as you can!
Igor: What's the hurry?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: There's a possibility of electrecution! Do you understand?
[no answer, shouts]
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: I said, there is a possibility of electrecution! Do you understand?
Igor: [suddenly appears next to Fredrick] I understand. I understand. Why are you shouting?

Email has space now --- sorry for the delay --- it was late last night.

Finding more stuff...
Located little linkage rod (SOR 042-52) and jets. What main jet were you looking for? Dug out 2 air cleaners. I'm keeping the early one

So, 75PIG, you say...
"Jets -- 1.44 Primary and 2.30 secondary"
Where did you get that?
You're running a '74ish non-USA carb?
Hmmm...
I've got a 2.00, it's the biggest I own.
I've been running a 1.18 and a 1.8 for years.
But it's your carb...
