Any recommendations for additional parts/mods/etc during FC/WP work?

I'm about to replace the fan clutch, water pump, and belts on my 60 as part of the whole "replace everything that's worn out as I go" thing. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or advice for additional work in the area when I have everything removed and exposed?

Hoses, thermostat and o-ring.

I assume you are going to install all new hoses already?

Before you take the system apart, and assuming you can run and drive the vehicle, use a good cooling system flush to clean the radiator and engine.

This will do a couple of things, prep the the system for a good long run, and show if the system has problems.

While the shroud out, cut it in ½, so the top half is easily removable for easy access to fan, clutch, belts in the future.
