Any reason not to Install some newer Nitto Terra Grapplers on this 2008 200?

I haven't found any threads about these Nitto Terra Grapplers on the 200 forum....

I have an almost new set of 285/60R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2006 landcruiser that has a lift..... so I can go larger on tires than the 285/60R18 to match the lift better anyways

We are buying a used 2008 series 200 landcruiser for my wife, but it could use some newer tires....

The stock tires only have about 5K-8k miles left on them, were recently rotated, and are cupped on the rear tires and somewhat loud.

Running these Nitto TG's on my 2006 Landcruiser has been a joy. They are very quiet and seem to be much more capable on dirt roads and rougher surfaces than the typical mall crawler tires that come on the 200 series landcruisers.

I have read some less than stellar monsoon rain performance from them, but, we live in Texas and it doesn't usually get too much rain here in general, and people usually slow down when it is raining cats and dogs.

Would there be any major detrimental issue to running these Nitto TG's on the 2008 Landcruiser?

Nope, great all terrain tire. I'm running a set of 285/65/18s TGs and are paying for it a little bit on fuel economy whereas the 285/60/18s would be basically stock and therefore perfect. Terra Graplers are slightly heavier than your average tire but as you say they are super nice and quiet for an AT and I personally have had no issues in wet, snow or sand. I have a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers for off road and those puppies are really heavy duty compared to the Terras. Good luck.

From your handle I assume you also have an FJ62. Great rigs.

Thank You for your experience and input!

I think I will go get these swapped out soon.

As for my handle, I currently have an FJ62, but it is unfortunately up for sale to help fund the purchase of the 100 I just bought for myself along with the used 200 that I am picking up on Thursday or Friday once the dealer has it ready.
