I am leaving to Europe again next week and am gonna bring some fiberglass 70 series windshield frames for me and maybe even a few front fenders and a hood.As far as I know the fenders and hood are only available for 1985/2005 BJ,HZJ models.

I know oem replacement windshield frames are available here and that most people prefer OEM,however I am one of those that prefers to buy a replacement part that will last me a lifetime vs buying a OEM one that will start to rust from the inside again in a few years.

I hope to be able to get the windshield frames in the US for around 450$,I will have to look in to the prices for hood and fenders.

I am guessing these will work for the FJ73 as well? I don't need the hood or fenders but possibly the windshield frame although the rust is very minor in that area.

Like you, I wasn't going to bother with OEM because I hear they rust no matter what you do and the one I have now is fine with no leakage. Fiberglass sounds good though.

Yes the windshield frame will fit any 70 series model with a fold down windshield frame no matter if it is gas or diesel or LJ/BJ/KZJ/RJ/PZJ/HZJ

I would be interested in fender flares as well as a front right fender. Maybe.
 
No fender flares from this suplier but I have seen several sets on Ebay from like Maleisia or somewhere.
 
I'm in for a windshield frame, as long as it's stout (think Gozzard-like 40 series glass stout). Can you provide some more details please? Thanks
 

Thanks, let me know how much the frame for the windshield end up costing.

Nope I contacted the manufacturer but he was out of stock and could not get a decent size order ready on time.

I hope to bring at leats a few in the next container around July/August

Has anyone visually inspected the FG replacement frames, some are awful, some a nice.
. I think with some good preparation ,you can avoid rusty frames.
