I was in Lacey Wa. at Cabelas on my way back from Cali.

You can get a brand spanking new Alu. 11' flat bottom john style boat for under $700 new!

I like Relic style... that's old school .

I wonder what ever happened to the ol' Jet Boat? Relic was the best character on that show. If Beachcombers was on ShowCase and they could swear a la Trailer Park Boys, I can only imagine the colour comin' outta his mouth..... of course I would never have been allowed to watch it.

Yes, Relic was the best part of the whole show. Always loved it when I got to see Relic crash through or over something in his boat. Apparently, there is a guy up in Rupert who has the same boat but painted Red.

There is actually a group of people trying to get CBC to bring back the Beach Combers. If it happened, they would probably put poor old Relic in one of them new prurrrdy fuel sipping boats.

yes you are probably correct, thats why i dont let her on the forum. fishing is great! I thought the coke on board was looking for his Rum mate.

The significant female in you life (not your mom ) may hold a different view. :grinpimp:

The Spratley are great boats...Sheldon and another friend both have the 12' wide version. They are very stable, wide, and have lots of freeboard. Very clean design also with practically nothing to snag the flyline.

BUT...lots of $$$ as already mentioned, and very heavy. I'm happy with my Lowe 1436L that I picked up from Cabelas in Lacey for $699 USD a couple of years back. It's only a 2 person boat though.

Except for the pink parts, kind of an interesting boat. The 'fills up with water' part just don't sound right when describing the good aspects of a seaworthy vessel tho....
