Antifreeze Vacuum Lock?

Driving my 73 tonight at think it may have a vacuum lock. When I drive, the temperature guage goes almost to hot, but when I stop at a stop sign it goes back to normal operating temperature. What is it and how can I fix it?
I just put new rings in it several months ago and realy do not want to do another teardown in the garage before spring.

i don't think what you are experiencing is called vaccum lock. Gauge is probably faulty, get a real mechanical gauge and see what it says.
