Antenna Mast Replacement (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if a T-100 power antenna mast will work on a Cruiser. I ask because on ebay the Cruiser antenna mast is $50, while the T-100 is $20. It has the same stock picture so they look the same in the pic, but not sure if they actually are. How about the 4-Runner or Camry mast? Anybody happen to know?

i may just be talking out of my butt but i think the answer is no, because of the regulator (if that's the right term). The T-100 & 4Runner have masts that go up, or go down. The LC mast is a variable position, which means the regulator isn't a simple open/close (up/down).

Just a guess.

That would be an operation of the antenna motor and not the mast itself. It is a basic collapsible antenna with a gear ribbon on the inside. I just want to know if it is the same size.

I do not think they are interchangeable. I'd say just pony up the $$ and buy a new one. They are not that hard to replace(just watch out for that middle screw)

I ended up getting the mast from a friend of mine at the local dealer at his cost, so it wasn't too expensive. He did say that the T-100 mast worked on some of the 80s but not the 100. He said for one of the years (he wasn't sure 96,97 or maybe even 98) they didn't sell the mast separately and you had to buy the whole motor. Since people were pretty mad about that, they started using T-100 masts on those.
