My LX450 was rear ended back in November and I just got word that they are calling a complete loss. I am not sure what I am going to do with the Vehicle yet but was wondering if anyone knows about how much I can expect to buy the vehicle back for or how much others have paid to buy theirs back. I don't want to see it end up in a random junk yard as I am sure someone on here could use it more.

That is a trailer light I added so that I could drive it. The vehicle is stock with no extras or lockers and 209,xxx on the clock. The Head gasket and other items where replaced around 180,xxx

Thanks

It depends on the damage incured and whats on the truck. The pics will help.
WAG would be 1000-2000. Is it worth it? depends on what is left and sellable. lockers? accessories? etc
From other occurances it seems there is some flexibility in the buyback. best of luck.

Mine was wrecked about 3 or 4 years ago.
Mine was loaded and had factory e-lockers. Witch the insurance company only wanted to give me less then $100.00 for.

I think they wanted around $2700 or more to buy it back.
I wanted it back but i was not going to pay that much for it.

The adjuster had added up over $10,000 in repairs then stoped and totaled it.

Here are some pictures of the wrecked lx450 and the car that pulled out in front of my wife. If you look at his stop sign. There is a sign under it that reads (cross traffic does not stop).

here are some pictures.

Man i miss that lx450.
Good luck with the insurance company.

My 96 was totaled back in Jan 08. Buy back was $2100.

I would guess the buy back will be pretty high, that isn't a lot of damage and it isn't affected mechanically.

It is usually easier to get them to come up on the vehicle value than down on a salvage buy back price.

Couple points to use, they should be willing to deduct from the salvage value any tow fees they will incur and fees to process it through the salvage auction. Easily a couple hundred bucks for those. I would save those until you are getting close to the end of the negotiations.

Good luck!

Lexus Truggy!!! Just do it.
