ok heres the deal, i can get a great deal on a 29' jayco camper which weighs about 5000 lbs. i need to tow it one time only about 150 miles from cincinnati to somerset ky. i have 315's with stock gears. my question, would i be able to tow it just once? or should i rent something bigger for the weekend? your opinions are greatly appreciated, i dont want to toast my tranny or kill someone.

I would say if you can find something to use for the weekend to tow it, i would .
Trailer brakes a big yes and the longer the towing unit the better it will handle

it does have brakes, but after i buy a brake controller, it may be easier to just rent something, thanks.

dunno about the hills on that route, but if there are any, yer gonna be hurting for speed and power. Speaking from personal experience, if that thing comes loose, there is nothing you can do but hold on. I'd rent something...

Good luck,
