I couldn't get the company truck out of the driveway last Tuesday. I had to take the cruiser to go vote.
Hope it happens again :bounce::bounce2:

Anyone going out to play?

It snows in Tucson proper??? I thought there was only a small area that gets a little snow at Mt. Lemon or something. Is there a ski area? (you mentioned boarding)

Yes we do get some snow in Tucson from time to time. Not much and it never lasts long. Although I remember my jr year of high school we had snow on the ground for nearly a week. That was 87. The mountain gets enough snow for some sking and boarding.

splitshot lives in Oracle, which is on the north side of the Catalinas from Tucson and a higher elevation. Tucson sits mostly above 2500, I think Oracle is over 3500.

Oracle is 4500. Normally, we get one to two storms a year which give us snow, (usually 2-4 inches). I do remember back in the early to mid 90's we had over 2 feet deposited over three days. The temp was 6 degrees the first night, didn't get above freezing the next day, and 5 degrees that night. The neighbor and I pulled kids (on water skis:lol:) around the block on quads.

Yep, I think that was the year Hannigan's Medow in the White Mountains had 8 to 10 foot drifts along the highway. I talked to some of the loggers and they siad it was like driving through a tunnel.

We get the added benifit of moisture from the Pacific. JJS, you know, a CSC number in your sig line would look pretty cool ;)

The wife just called from the house, just changed from rain to snow. I might have an interesting drive home :steer:

TrAiLbUs, I heard the Lemmon is closed at mp 14, if it re-opens tom. you should have some killer boarding.

The thing I hate about Mt. Lemmon is that by the time the road opens, the snow is often gone. :frown:

Yup they use to leave it open too, the first time I saw it closed in the morning I went around the signs...the sheriff was waiting for us and pulled over 20 people..got a hefty fine too:( bastads...I can go threw 10" no problem argggggg. Didn't get to go boarding..but last Friday @ night we went to chiva and it seriously was a blizzard could not see 10 feet in front of us. Went back during the day on Sunday and water was running like crazy..I had to back off of the middle line on three feathers for the first time argggg!!
