I bought my 62 from a guy in Phoenix. He and the Carfax both told me that it failed emissions twice, and he had to do some fiddling to get it to pass. Hopefully his "adjustments" are still in place. :)

Tip for passing emissions (a legal tip, that is): Don't run fuel injector cleaner. That stuff will make you fail emissions every time. Make sure you have a fresh tank of gas that's been running through your system for a few days before going in for the test.

I like to use CRC Brakleen to locate fluid leaks. It cleans very effectively and dries almost instantly. Buy a couple cans and start spraying down the components that are covered with fluid (starting at the top and working your way down). If sludge has built up, use some rags and wipe that stuff away and then use Brakleen again to clean and dry the area. Next I would park the car outside and let it warm up for a while, then start peaking around to find the source of the leak(s). If nothing presents itself, drive 1/2 mile then park and check again. Might seem tedious, but I would rather take the time and find the source(s) than throwing money around replacing questionable gaskets.

brake clean is cheap.........
