Hey All,

I've been lurking on the main mud site for the last year or so since I bought my 91' cruiser. I live in Fayetteville now and am slowly replacing/fixing stuff on the cruiser. A bunch of stuff is about to happen to the truck as I just got back from a 2 month long tdy mission to Kuwait so the play fund has been filled up again. I'm doing the FAS this weekend (if anyone wants to give me a hand), finishing my rear bumper by putting on the tire carrier, remove the oem roof rack, PDL fix, winch behind stock bumper mod. and maybe a roof rack.

Welcome to the ONSC forum Sross. this weekend is a little short notice for me, all ready have a todo list running.
 
Welcome. This is a great group of people here, with a lot of skilled wrench turners. I'd love to help you, but I'm not one of them. Hope to see you around though and good luck with the build up.
 
FAS = Front Axle Service i believe

Welcome aboard Sross. Give me a shout when you can make it up this way for the bumper.
And definately consider purchasing an FSM for your vehicle if you plan to do all the maint. yourself.

Welcome aboard sross. I am in Raeford so i am closs to you also. Packing and painting the old house right now so time is not to be had right now but hopefully in about 2 months things will start getting better .

And however many rags you think you need, double / triple that number.
 
Thanks everyone for the welcome and a big thanks to JFZ80 for the bumper today. His is the first heavily modded 80 I've gotten to inspect up close and a nice motivator to work on my truck.

Good to meet you Steve. Hope the ride home wasnt as bad as the trip through Charlotte. Be safe and keep you head down when you head back overseas.

Keep us posted on the winch behind the factory bumper project.
 
Just found out I'll be getting my extra pay from my little trip to Kuwait on Monday so now I have to deliberate how to spend $2500 on the cruiser. There are worse problems to have I guess. Aussie and winch going on in the next couple weeks!
