After a few months of searching the entire southeast, I finally found my new "old" Land Cruiser. Turns out if came from North MS where the second owner purchased it from the original owner who lived in Memphis. It was well cared for....for the most part.

It is a 2000 with 139K miles. The timing belt and water pump had not been done. I had both of those done along with fluid changes all the way around. It has the infamous clunk when changing from R to D, but my mechanic said it is nothing to worry about.

Attaching a few photos of what it looks like now...Will be a DD for the time being. In the process of removing the gold emblems and painting them black. Running boards will be coming off shortly too.

I went through the interior with 3 coats Griot's leather rejuvenator. It feels much softer now. Still have a coat of Griot's leather care to do before I am finished with the interior. If you have never tried Griot's products, I highly recommend them. Its expensive, but EVERY single product I have tried does just intended. I don't use anything else on my cars!

I bought a Pioneer AVIC F90bt from Liam who has been extremely helpful with the install. It has been installed. Thanks Liam!!

Very excited to be a LC owner!!

NIce 100. Please post pics of the pioneer in the dash. Thanks!

Here are a few pics of the interior and the Pioneer. As you can see, I also had my Valentine 1 hard wired into the car. The concealed display is up by the instrument cluster and the main unit is up just to the right of the mirror.

I don't speed all that often....just nice to know when you have company!

If you don't mind........what did you have to give for it? I'm in Oregon and just picked up a one owner 2000 with 150K miles for $10.5k Thanks............CRAB

I paid 12.5 for mine. It was local and saved me having to buy one sight unseen and also having to have it shipped. It was worth 12.5 but it needed the timing belt and water pump replaced. I guess you could say I spent about 600.00 too much....However, I felt like it was still a good deal.

Sounds like you got a much better deal than I did. I am happy with it though.

Congrats on your new purchase!!

I'd say $12.5 is still a good deal. Prices here on the West Coast range between $15K and $20K with 130K-150K miles. Very seldom see one under $15K no matter how many miles on it. We've been looking for a 100 for about a year and feel the one we purchase was "meant to be" since it was only 30 miles from the house and a one owner vehicle at a great price. Congrats on your purchase as well.

Very Nice!

Update:

Finally got the running boards removed as well as the gold emblems. I sanded and repainted the emblems. I also got the running boards off. Yesterday I got my new wheels and tires mounted. I went with the Cooper Zeon LTZ in a 285/60/18. I really like how it looks compared to the stock Michelin A/S tires

Slidersteps will be my next purchase!!

What kind of wheel are those? Tundra? Or LC? Looks great!

they are Tundra wheels. The wheels came off an 08 Tundra. They are the same size and offset of the 03+ 18" LC wheels. I looked and looked for 03+ LC wheels but couldn't find any for a decent price. These wheels are all over the place and can be had for a great price! Thanks!

What did you do with the 16" wheels that came on it?

I still have them. Was planning on cleaning them up and posting them in the classifieds section. I am keeping the center caps though since they fit without and modifications...

Looks great! A lot like the one I just got but I think yours is in better shape. Love the nav! The wheels and tires look real good too. Congratulations!

Thanks. the nav has taken a little while to get adjusted to. Overall, I am happy with it though.

Really nice looking cruiser. Congrats and I really like the wheel/tire combo.

Thanks. It doesn't even look like the same truck I bought 2 months ago!! Its amazing how easy it is to get bitten by the MOD BUG.....

Very nice....the fender flares look a lot better with the running boards gone. I have the flares too and was considering taking them off...but yours looks good with 'em. Have you considered removing them?

Thanks!! I have considered removing them. I like the look much better now that the running boards are gone. Honestly, I am scared of what it looks like under the fender flares...scratches, faded paint, etc...Think I am going to just leave them on. Finally growing on me how the LC looks with flares.
