In my searches, I've only noticed comments on one replacement front bumper, the ARB Sahara, being a direct bolt on replacement with no additional trimming or drilling required. Not sure if this is accurate. Does anyone know of any other replacement front bumper that can be installed without cutting or drilling?

I am thinking a front bumper will be my next installation. I'd like to do the install myself but do not want to have to cut or drill. Also, need more front end protection for wildlife than the Sahara provides. I read the online instructions for the ARB deluxe and it indicates trimming is required for install. Couldn't find online instructions for the TJM T-13. Have seen a few threads on Iron Man, but prefer a bumper that has the additional support across the front (in front of the headlights). Any other recommendations?

Thanks for any input you can provide.

Are you opposed to cutting because of future retrofits or because of the work involved? If it's the latter then I can tell you the metal trimming is a piece of cake.
I have a BIOR front and rear and they do require cutting. Mike is great to deal with and he can create custom work to suit your anti wildlife needs. Had the bumpers for over a year now and I've been pleased with the quality of materials, craftsmanship and definitely price.

Sent from the future to protect John Conner.

FWIW, the tabs you need to cut for the ARB combo instal are small. I grabbed the Dremel with a cut-off wheel. Only took me a minute.

You could easily get your OEM bumper back on (if that's a concern for you)

Thanks. The concern with trimming off pieces was not wanting to limit putting the OEM bumper back on at a future date. With 48,000 miles,
I'm not planning on getting rid of the land cruiser for a long, long, long time. But, you never know and if that sad day ever comes, I want the ability to keep all the mods for the next one. It'll be awhile, if ever, that I move onto a 200 series, so having the ability to install the OEM parts back on was an important factor for all the mods I've done thus far, and plan to do in the future.

Ironman doesn't require any trimming what-so-ever.

Anyone with a TJM T-13 that can weigh in?

On another topic, how much should I expect to lose in lift when I install the front bumper, and is it necessary to realign the front end after installation?

Just installed a lift and had the land cruiser aligned. Original front end measurement was 21.5 inches. Actually gained 0.5 inches after alignment and now am at 22, with rear also at 22 (originally was close to 23 but with install of the Slee rear bumper and normal settling I lost almost an inch). Was hoping to maintain 0.5 to 1 inch rake. Wondering if after installing the front bumper if I will see much of a drop on the front end.

You have two options...

Take front end measurement, install bumper, take new measurement, crank up t-bars if needed to go back to original measurement, alignment should now theoretically be the same as original.

Option 2... get an alignment after installing the bumper.

I'm not sure how much the front end will drop, do you have a 12 year old handy? If so, have them stand on the front bumper and see how much it drops. I'd loan you mine, but we're not exactly closeby :) Depending on which bumper you'd get, probably 100-125#. Then add the weight of the winch onto that.

Well then, probably will have to spring for another alignment. Actually was hoping for a little hit of a drop in FE height so I have some rake. I read some folks gained lift when they had their land cruiser aligned, but I didn't think I would get back a full half inch. So, hopefully the weight of the bumper will drop the FE some.

I'll have to try your method to see how much it drops.

Thanks.
