Good times! I was surprised at how the winter floods affected the trail, many of the obstacles were buried under rock that had washed down.

Another AMAZING weekend with the club has written it's way into the history books. What a great time we had. It started with an uneventful trip up the hill in my 60, which was really a great feeling for me after all my recent woes. A little issue on the way home that I'll touch on in the "My Pile" thread later but other than that the truck was a champ.

It was great to see everyone again and meet some of the newer members who I've not yet had a real chance to hang out or wheel with. We didn't do any wheeling in the 60 as I was happy just to have a truck that was running properly, but our Saturday trip over to Fossil Creek was just what the doctor ordered. The water was cold and clear, and the new swimming hole we found was perfect. I think that little clearing should be the new basecamp for future club cleanups.

Saturday night's dinner turned out better than I had hoped and the ensuing conversations were hilarious. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. I haven't yet figured out if Shannon is a super cool cat with a thick skin, a completely lonely person who is incredibly desperate to be accepted, or just a retard who has no clue, but I gotta say he catches WAY more than his fair share of s*** from this group, and handles it all pretty well. Time to start turning off the fans at your house there dude.

Thanks to everyone for the help getting packed up on Sunday, it's time for a trailer for the Bman clan. A special thank you to Cayce for cleaning the grill and my big skillet. I don't mind cooking for large groups nearly as much when someone else handles the cleanup part.

Took a ton of pix as usual. Most of them are people and kid pix, again, as usual. I'll get them up in the next couple days.

I see this as it's own thread. :flipoff2:

Sitting at my desk...looking at a picture of Norm jumping off that rock into cool, clear, refreshing water with Porters words ringing in my ears..."Daddy, do we have to go home today? Can't we stay longer?"

I had a great time and would go again tomorrow if I didn't have other commitments. Porter played his heart out and slept all the way home. Like Bman...I put my rig into low range once. And I'm OK with that this trip. Next trip I hope to do more wheeling.

I hung my head in shame that I didn't have a dutch oven on the trip after promising cobbler. My apologies to all. When I got home I dropped an oven into the trailer first thing. I have all the fixn's for next time.

I have a question for Murf...in the pix of you wheeling it appears you are stabilizing your passenger seat, or the other way around? Do you need bolts for the seat or did you drink to much the night before? :)

Rob...I have your coffee press. The consensus is that I live closest to you...so I ended up with it. I can drop it by or you can come and get it...let me know what works for you.

Its my unique stabilization feature - look Ma, one hand!

Brittan, I like the pic of you and Porter peeking out into the sunlight in the AM. The sunlight hit the trailer just right. Glad to hear about your dutch oven made its way to the trailer finally ~ although it seemed this year that most everyone forgot something or another.

Double batch next year....:hillbilly:
