So I changed my battery and the temporary loss of power must have re-set some of computer settings.

One change is that now, my lights stay on for a minute or so even after I lock my doors. I prefer it when the lights go off at the same time I lock the door.

Another change is that now if I unlock my door, it will automatically re-lock after a certain amount of time. I prefer for the doors to stay unlocked once I have unlocked them.

Does anyone know how to change these items back to how they were (which may not have been factory defaults). Am I going to have to stomp morse code into my accelerator while turning my key on and off at a rate of exactly 4.2 Hz?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Easy fix. Off ebay you can find the Techstream cable and CD. Once connected you can change all the available parameters (varies by year and model). You can also clear codes, see status of systems, flush brakes, etc.

As a cautionary note, requires 32 bit XP. I run Oracle Virtual Box with an instance of XP and it works fine. It does take a bit of effort to pass the USB to the virtual session (requires VB extensions, free download you just have to find it and do it).

Or... take it to the dealer.
