Let's see now, how would that go.....

Time Travel!

Time Travel!

Time Travel!

Damn, why isn't this working for me??!!

I'm sorry guys, I just can't stop laughing. I just can't belive there are people out there spending weekends like this.

The used to play that at the local park here... One day I was riding my bike though there and stopped for a smoke and damn near died laughing....

I guess its cooler than the way I had it described where people roll dice and invent stories on a table and attack eachother like that, at least they're going outside...lol.

Good point...at least they put down their joy sticks and got outside...We should be encouraging this type of behavior.

OMG! That's the sweetest video I've ever seen! Anybody want to buy a couple of Cruisers? I've gotta get my cloak of invisibility out of storage and start workin on my magic again.

Oddly enough, it looks alot like what my kids do when they have a bunch of friends over.

Haven't seen any of them wear horns yet though...

Dude! You gotta click the link to the other kid's movie! It's way more gay... not that there's anything wrong with that.

I loved this next one too! I love the Lightning Bolt special F/X that they went back in and added.

Could you imagine coming down a 4x4 trail and have these guys on the road in front of you??

I loved some of the over-the-top academy award type dialogue in that one too! LMAO

"Do you understand everytime I have to kill one it hurts".... "but if we don't kill nature, how will we build our houses?"

This one is good for a laugh as well! The camera guy even snickers!

I agree, my kids used to run around playing LOTR after the movies came out, but they were 10 & 12. Some of these guys filmed are pushing mid to late 30's IMO. I would think by that time you would have moved on to something like women. Just a thought, not casting stones, or lightning bolts,...mind you those could hurt someone.:D

well i can only imagine how stupid i must look when i play paintball, or get in the ring at my local MMA gym. to each they're own i suppose.

I guess if you were running around yelling "sleep" every time you fired your paintball gun at someone, or every time you threw a punch in the ring you shout "death" or "lightning bolt" or "+3, +5, +2" for every type of blow you land, then it would get pretty comical amigo. I might even pay to see that:flipoff2:

I totally support the civil war re-enactment groups, and I love going to the renaissance fair each year and I respect the SCA too, but I find it funny watching these guys do this LARP stuff. Hell, I even understand and respect burning-man. Since stumbling on these videos a few days ago, I have found out that this stuff is HUGE and these guys pay several hundred dollars a person just to participate in these weekend games. Mind you, that is just game fees, lodging and the rest are additional.

I'm thinking I may be in the wrong line of production business. The overhead would be minimal on something like this to organize. A few legal fees, an insurance rider, and rental of the property, then you charge each of them a couple hundred a head and set them out into mother nature for an afternoon to play. Best part, I would get paid to see some very funny, whacky, stuff.

Howdy! I used to have a neighbor that ran Paint Marker Games up around Prescott. He made a lot of money just refilling the air tanks for the pistols. I never made it to go watch, but he had some funny stories of how much some of these guys spend on playing games. You can get $2000 - 3000 real quick just for the pistol. My daughter is in the Ren Fair, and I have gone with her to watch some of her friends that are in the Society for Creative Anachronisms. Those folks spend a lot of money to get broken arms and legs! They are supposed to be faking it, but sometimes that's hard to do with a 25 pound sword. John

I don't know whats worse... them making the video or us watching it... making, yea its making...

All well and good, but...

Imagine them seeing a video of us wheeling obstacles on, say Payette or Ajax creek bed, they'd think were nuts!
