I have my 1962 FJ40 in very good but not quite original shape. I am thinking of offering it to one of the local dealerships to help with any local marketing they may be doing on the release of the FJC. Are there any marketing people on this board that think it is worth my time to even try?

Any ideas what that might be worth? I was thinking of bartering for the clutch job I need and the rear-main that I have leaking.

I thought the same before selling my stocker. I think that would be a very fair trade, then the dealership could display the two together. I'd also suggest placing a price on your 40 (one that would be worth your selling it) and hope that the daddy who comes to buy a new FJC for his daughter decides to help himself to your original.

I was thinking about offering my for display at a dealer in exhange for work i might need done to mine. It might work because you dont hardly see any cruisers around here.
