Has anyone changed the wiring on their fog lights so they don't turn off when the brights are on?

It’s called a pin 17 mod.

Finally did the PIN 17 mod.

So Rob's directions were crystal clear (TLCFAQ.com) so I went for it today. Mod was easy. But I could not for the life of my get the pin 17 wire out of the harness connector plug. So, gasp, I snipped the wire and soldered on a ring terminal. I'm not the best soldering person in the world, but...
