Hey guys,

I have a 30 ft Grady White. It is about to be re-powered and completely overhauled. My biggest hurtle to getting out to the stream is finding people who want to go and split the fuel, bait etc. I am always looking to get down and fish inshore and off. I will always provide, the boat, and tackle. Please let me know if you are interested. It is a 6-7.5 ride down for me, but i try to get on the water as much as possible. I will update this thread whenever i am working on a trip or getting down that way. The boat is in Atlantic Beach and we usually fish out Beaufort inlet, but can make it up to Hatteras too and down to Bouge inlet as well. Let me know if there is any interest.

Best,

Parker

i am down for anything anytime. I just love getting on the water, and thought this group would too!! It would be a blast to get a gang offshore!

And yes, absolutely for spring time ride (i am not sure of the details as i am new to the group). We have a house on emerald isle and the beaches are open to trucks till memorial day, and lookout national seashore is any time. Never to early to start planning!

Sign me up. I have been salt water fishing since I was pretty young. I can be in AB/BFT in 2.5 hours. Have you ever thought about using the boat for freedive spearfishing? I always wanted to do that. I will send the contact number via PM. There are some great places to fish down there and hanging out at the Dockhouse afterwards is not bad either. ;<)

You cant beat the Dock House with a live band. And yes, i have done some shallow water spear fishing on the lookout jetties and some other spots. I have only used pole spears in water under 25 ft. I personally do not have a lot of wind and cannot get too deep, 15 feet down, with a shot or two and back up is good for me. I have been with a good friend who can do over 150 seconds under, but he is really good at what he does. I will try too keep this going to get some guys (and gals) on the water. Like i said, finding the people is my biggest hurtle

Well, there is rumors of a Portsmouth Island expedition trip being planned for March next year...

I'm down, there are a few others that would be game....

sounds great. the boat goes into the yard for some fiberglass repair and new electronics in December. We are looking for new motors now, and we are aiming to have everything done by March 1. No blue fin season for us this year. We completely blew a motor a couple months ago and just made the decision to refirb the whole thing instead of sell and look to new.

Look forward to taking you up on this!

fishing...

Since I'm the closest person to this I get first dibs :flipoff2: My knowledge of fishing isn't the greatest but I'm always willing to learn. What are you planning on repowering with? I do work for Gregory Poole Marine Power, they always seem to have good customer service. :D

Add me to the list, and if we have enough to take another boat I will be carry mine out for an offshore trip with you.
What kind of boat do you have? I bet we could get a good number once the weather gets better, and it is always fun to have a few boats. We can safely fish about six people on the boat, but it is much more comfy with 4. We also have a house in Emerald Isle that can be used as base camp if need be.On the repower, we will most likely do twin 300hp yamahas. If we find a good deal on 250's we would go that route too.

I'm very interested. I'll be headed for the Med in the early spring but if I'm still around I'd like to do this.

Once we get the boat back from the yard, i will try to put together a March yellow fin tuna trip, if weather permits. I am really pumped to see all the interest. Hopefully we can get enough for another boat too. We usually burn about 150 gallons on a day trip, so split up, its not too bad. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 pullout sofas too. I know its a long ways out, but it never hurts to start early.

Parker ill be down every single weekend once the weather is nice, so I better get a call!
