Altimeter / Compass console 92 JDM 80

Hello.
Lurker and 1st time poster.

I have a 92 JDM 80 with factory Turbo Diesel.

I have a Altimeter / Compass console above the rear view mirror.

It has a button that says “Light Off”.
I took it apart and cannot find the lightbulb.

Does anyone know which light it operates?

Reviving this thread, for a different reason. I also have a 1992 HDJ81 with the same little console. The altimeter works great, but the compass has a mind of its own. Does anyone know how to fix the compass? Or has anyone replaced it with a different compass? I'm considering pulling the console down, and putting a new compass and outside temp gauge in there. Think that would work???

There are a ton of threads and basically once it's broken it's broken. I could not find a single thread about it working.

Lol. Okay, got it. Yeah, it is kinda funny. I'm not too worried about it. I'm thinking of putting a wide band gage and outside temp gage up there. We shall see. I already have boost and egt in an a-pillar gadget pod.
