Alternator question

Yes I did. Thank you all for your help. I hate to say it but the problem was kind of the story of my life; stupid oversight. I installed the new custom dash and gages today after I fabbed a new fuel sending unit bracket. All of the (other) wiring works. How about that, first try. My next step is to paint the fenders and hood so I can get all of my blinkers and headlights on. Pretty big project. New paint and wiring, she should be ready to go. I can't wait to drive her. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Focking Diode!!!

Just wanted to say thanks to Theo, Brandon8me and the others for posting up on this (found it in search). I just concluded troubleshooting an overcharging problem and realized that the PO had mis-wired my alternator. I rewired it but still wondered why I now had the engine run-on problem. Quick diode install plus the correct wiring and voila.. 14.7V instead of 15.7V Thanks guys!!!!
