I don't know the exact torque, but I bet you could strip those studs if you put too much torque on it. I usually do mine good and hand tight, then check it again soon, then frequently thereafter.

I don't know the exact torque, but I bet you could strip those studs if you put too much torque on it. I usually do mine good and hand tight, then check it again soon, then frequently thereafter.
As I said before, the gasket on mine has been replaced at least 5X and the tube twice. I'm about ready to order the SOR SS one. My leak was getting louder, so I checked out the nuts, and they were very loose. Tightened them back up (still wish I knew the factory torque), and the leak is quieter but still there.
