The trip was a blast. Thanks Al and everyone for a great time. Nice meeting some new cruiserheads. Fun times at camp  , I am still seeing spots from the blinding magnesium! The trip home was an adventure too... lost in mycra, broken jack mount, and getting stopped and shaken down in the forest for suspected hunting!
Looking forward to another run.

ps. Peyton if you have those elec diagrams I would love to see em. chuckdd@mindspring.com thanks!

Forgot the best part... the Officer commented "your lights look funky, like the turn signals are all on..?". I told him the truck has some electrical issues and I wouldn't be surprised of anything. He said "OK", seemingly satisfied with the explanation. :grinpimp: Trip tally; misfit wipers, reverse light with its own ideas, and something up with the flashers :crybaby:

at least your girlfriend dint have to use a 5 lbs sledge to bend the rain gutter up to shut the rear door. :D

If anyone wants to change anything about the trips to Alpha let me know, and for send me pics for TT send them to aemocean@yahoo.com

Great time, Al! Really fun to be up there camping and wheeling with the group. I think your pics above are out of order. Pic 2 has a banged-up RR quarter, pic 3 does not. :D

That place is really surprising terrain for here in Florida. You 60 guys did some carnage this weekend. Don't forget Trace's broken window.

Looking forard to the next run up there. I am up for camping in the pit.

I would like to change something, Al. Let's say I walked my 40 up Knuckle-Buster on my first attempt, while forgetting to engage the TC in 4-low and also forgetting to engage my lockers......... all this while my truck was missing on 2 cylinders and during that heavy down-pour.......:grinpimp:

Yea, that magnesium fire was blinding....

Damn Chuck, why did they think you were hunting? Glad to see you made it home.

Camping in the pit would be awesome! I can just see the knuckle-buster alit with luminaries and tiki torches. And for the section that looked like a canoe trail... those little floating rice paper things like they do in china. :D

Speaking of Carnage.........

Oh yea, let's not forget about the Land Rover we lost back at the first obstacle at the entrance trail....... :flipoff2:

A thrashing at knuckle buster at night would be super fun...first one to pop a birf makes breakfast for everyone...

yeah it was a baaaaaadddd day for rovers...that other had to be towed out of the pit....on a by-pass even.

John on his rear bumper.

Jim, the officer said he saw what looked like a spot light shining from the truck but there was no light to be found after searching. Maybe Rasco smuggled one along and stashed it real good...

im so jealous guys my buddy and i left camp at 2am bc we didnt bother to bring a tent and got mauled by mosquitoes while trying to sleep in the cruiser. made some good food before the mosquito attack ;) so all wasnt a bust. my ankles look like i got wrapped by some man-o-wars. im looking forward to some more pictures. nice meeting ya al count me in on the next ride

Dragging...

Sweeeeeeet trip :D

Big thanks for Al for getting on the internet and motivating everyone, and having sense enough to split that huge group for trail rides. Will definitely be back - and night time wheeling on knuckle buster sounds killer. I am totally in for camping at the pit or anyplace nearby (Jim has to set up the shower).

Jim - that was a Range Rover that I towed out, and I was bummed - really wanted to see that thing wheel.

I'm back with one dent in the gas cover, no other damage. As Mike showed me up :flipoff2: it's obvious I'm not wheeling hard enough if nothing broke (especially considering how much mech. and body damage I had from GSMTR this year). Doesn't include all the mosquito bites Laura and I got... daaaamn.

My apologies but I really enjoyed seeing the 60 series carnage - too much!!! Wish the rovers would have tried something - that would have been kool.

Al - I've got one good picture of Mike wheelstanding up and over knucklebuster that might be good for the trails article. Will have to burn on CD and pass over to Jim for a quick e-mail.

As a side note - Laura and I paddled Juniper Creek Sunday morning and it was killer - as always, the Springs are a killer must see - would be a good half day trip for anyone who wanted to do more than wheeling - and it's only about 40 minutes from Alpha. Only downside (least for me) is that dogs aren't allowed in (gators ;-) - so we had to leave Lola home

Thanks again. Bill and Laura.

Thanks EveryOne!!!!

hey guys, just wanted to say that the 2 Rovers and I (the white 80) had a blast. It was great meeting everyone. Sign me up for the next trip. You guys should try coming up the forest like ChuckD and I did. It was an awesome ride up... Definately gets you in the off-road mood.. Sweet trails and awesome back drops.. from start to finish its roughly 60 miles but worth every second....

Had a Great time!

Thanks for all the help and advise you guys gave me on my rig.

I am definetly in for the next trip up to alpha and camping on the spot. (as long as it isn't over T-day weekend)

I have alot to do over at Jim's house to get it ready for the next trip.
(Jim, talk to me later)

Need to find the perfect 'Squito repellent. I have a feeling they might be bigger there in the pit.
