Alarm Problems

My alarm on my 98 Cruiser keeps going off for no reason about 2 times per day. I have owned the car for years and the problem has only started over the past 2 weeks. I do not have my owners manual so I do not know if I can adjust something to make it less sensitive. Any ideas? Thanks, JEM

If I had to guess, I would say it is probably a sensor/switch on one of the doors or hood. Sometimes when one of the switches go bad, the car is tricked into thinking the door has been opened while the alarm is still on. Are any of your interior lights sporatically coming on when set to door mode?

Front door key switches seem to be the most common. they are on the back of the door key cylinder.
