New member here from NW Alabama and just wanted to know if anyone knew of a trustworthy shop in Alabama to restore or customize my 71 FJ40. Thanks for the help.

There is a guy in tuscaloosa (Dana) he has made some beautiful 40s but I dont know how you get on his work list.

I met a guy that was working on a 71 at a local cruise'in a couple of months ago. It looked awesome! He worked for a resto place called Impatient Creations out of Alabaster. I later found out that he had done work for my cousin on his Defender, he was really pleased and recommended them as well.

I am personally not a fan of the painted black top on a 40 - White looks so much better. But to each his own...

I will have to figure out how to upload some pics. I am in Winfield.

Thanks guys for the replies. I have had the LC for nearly nine years with the intentions of fixing it up but just have never found someone that was interested or that I felt like they would know what they were doing.

not in AL, but this is the place I would go to. ACC located over in Atlanta GA. They have worked on my 60 and I would go back again.

I second ACC. Worth the drive and the extra expense. Nothing but good things to say about my experience there.
