I believe that's correct. You may need the front 2H/12HT motor mounts, but I'm not certain on that point. I have not seen the H mounts.

I put a 2H in my F engined 40. I had to custom make motor mounts. It was easy enough but took considerable time. Also the heater control and brass heater water tube had to be reworked quite heavily to avoid the rearmost injector line. That and about 50 other little things of course.

The en-gen that was in my troopy was a H en-gen so your saying that it should mount right up?

Yes H and 2H.....same mounting

There must be a difference between F and 2F frame mounts. On my 78' 2F powered 45, I moved the engine mounts forward on the 2H block and dropped it straight in. The water outlet on the back was resolved by purchasing the diesel heater valve that mounts to the firewall. The 12HT went in the same way.

I feel dumb now. I just looked and yes I could have just moved the 2H left mount forward and it would have bolted up... I don't regret going the route I did however because with the mount in the rear position I get clearance for my saginaw box steering shaft and also I have the engine back a bit which gives clearance for the HJ60 fan and a transmission cooler.

@1978HJ45 Thank you Charles. I wish I could have made the trip up to Windrock. Maybe next year.
