More bread. I used a marble rye, very delicious, Impressive how much can fit in there. Put a socket on an extension backwards and pushed as much in until it you could use a dowel. I just couldn’t find a proper fit.
Have you tried to soak it in some penetrating oil first? Kroil is my favorite....pricey, but works amazing. If you could tilt the engine forward so it is soaking in a puddle of it, that would be best.

Once I blew the seal out using grease I figured going back to bread wouldn’t work. So dremel tool and cutting disk. The outer ring still won’t come loose with 4 cuts. I guess I have to keep working on it

Well, that sucks. Broke the wires off the tach sensor/pick up. Anyone know the part number? I can’t find it on toyodiy. Anyone have a spare ? Anyone successfully repaired one of these?

@FJBen does the steep climb about halfway through still have pretty deep holes? Got some three wheelin’ action in my 60 a couple months back on that spot. I went out with a buddy who just bought a new Wrangler and I was trying to get his feet wet on an easy scenic trail - he wasn’t thrilled...

Mine broke as well. I was able to cobble it together with some epoxy. No idea how long it will last but for now it’s working.

I've seen replies that say you can dig into the top with a soldering iron enough to get enough wire to solder the wires together again. Then fill with silicone or something stronger to stabilize that area.
That’s what I did. It’s not pretty but it works.
I had to use a razor and pick to clear it out.
Would be worth it to have a spare.
