After a long period of chasing some issues I finally figured out that my TCM is not working properly. I opened it up to see if I could verify that it has an internal problem before replacing it, and here is what I found:

Do any of you guys have a 450-43LE TCM out of a vehicle where you could pull the top cover off and check the resistor value? The only damage appears to be this resistor and it looks like I had a short in my TC lockup circuit that caused it to fry. As per the photo, it is one of the four similar resistors, side by side, near the connector end of the board, just behind the big wide plug (widest of the three). The photo should allow you to find it. I am not sure that the Isuzu TCM is the same, but it is worth a shot.

Also, if anyone has a spare TCM, Isuzu or Mitsubishi, send me a PM... It looks like I might be buying one.

Thanks

The plugs are identical and the housing looks very close, but it may be different internally.

Interesting is that the chip in my TCM is marked 4M50, which is the newer engine that replaced the 4D34T. I would bet the computer is similar, or the same.

Here is a photo of the internals of my TCM (2002 Isuzu AW450 that came behind a 4HE1TC). It looks to have four solenoid drivers on the board with a space for a 5th. I wonder what that is about?

I have a Hino 185 2008 and has an AISIN 450-43LE transmission. This is what is happening with me...

I put my truck in D you hear a little buzz sound but the truck wouldn't move and you can feel the gear is not engaging. Shift to lower 2nd same thing happens you hear a buzzing sound as if something is trying to catch the gear but truck doesn't move its as if it is in neutral. If I shift to 1 the truck engages and after I move it i shift back to D and the truck is running fine.

Someone told me there is some issue with a certain "valve" and can be fixed easily and is not that costly....

Any clue as to what could be the issue? I want to take it to a specialist but I don't want to be ripped off for its repairs. So, I would really appreciate if anyone can tell me what to talk about once I take my truck to the mechanic.

Will appreciate any help on this...
