So my insurance runs out at the end of the day(today). went through aircare, idle test, passed with flying colours! broken tail pipe and all. Went to go insure my truck for another year, and they didn't even ask to see my aircare papers! lol. Could have saved myself $23! lol

No driving test?!
Which aircare? I DETEST having to let those monkeys behind the wheel of my rigs.

Don't kid yourself, ICBC and Aircare share the same database, if you hadn't gotten Aircared you wouldn't have gotten insurance. I think it even says on the Aircare form that it's just a receipt for your records.

I hear ya...

Just strange, every other time they have asked for the papers? And Bj70 , it was the aircare on 80th and 130th surrey. Only place I go to and all they have ever done is idle test on my truck.

My daughter just applied for a job at Aircare in Abby, if she gets the job and becomes a monkey should i kick her ass out of my house?

Can she drive a rhd diesel land cruiser without hitting the redline, dropping the revs to about 800 while shifting from 1st to 2nd, then flooring it till it hits redline again?

If yes, tell us what location she'll be at. If not - teach her quick.

I went through that exact same Aircare facility late last year and the guy almost jumped my 80 off the rollers twice. After the second time, he decided to just do the idle test...but he did try to drive it. Of course mine still has the full time case.

When he finished, he said, "That gas pedal is a little touchy, eh?" LOL. I'm glad it's at least an auto, and I didn't have to squirm watching them try to work a clutch.

That's pretty much it. To be fair, the woman at Abby who drove my 5 spd this past summer was the only Aircare tech who has ever been able to do the test without having to restart at least once. And she made every shift nicely.

I am hoping that if she gets the job that it will be a short term job; not because she won't be good at it, but because Aircare will soon be dead. I know, I am dreaming.

I went to the one on 80 Ave. & 130 St. for my first AirCare, they did the idle test too. For my second AirCare, I went to the one just off of Marine way in the industrial area. They were idiots there, they had the test set up for a FWD, and would have drove the truck through the facility, if I didn't tell them it was AWD, and still took them a long time to set it up. They were revving the snot out of it, and my ppm was high, but passible.
