I just got myself a compressor and associated toys for my garage. I bought an IR ARO 1/4" lubricator. My impact gun states the drip needs to be 2 drips/min. I don't know how to set this (or confirm setting).

There is a glass rotator (that controls the oil feed needle valve) on top of the unit. I can adjust it, but there are no markings to indicate how much oil is going through (I can see it drip when the tool is in use). The instructions that came with the unit are of little help.

Rather than run my impact gun for 1 minute and count the drips, what is the appropriate way to set this?

2 drips a min sounds like a lot. Sorry, but not sure how to set it. Put an oiler on my setup about 11 years ago and other than add oil, haven't thought about it.

I've never used one. After every use I just put a squirt of oil in the tool via the air inlet. However I mainly use air impacts and ratchets. nothing that is extended use, like a sander. And this is with years and years of use....
