I have an older Chicago Pneumatic 734 and this thing is frustrating me horribly. It was missing the air intake valve and wasn't running so i figured it just needed a tune up. I pulled the wrench apart, replaces the seals and turbines, and it still doesn't work. So then I pulled the reverse/forward button out and cleaned inside there and still no change. The unit rotates freely, just like my working unit.

So the unit has been rebuilt and cleaned and it still won't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Brittain

I was hoping to hold off. I bought a new Nitrocat 3/8 a few months ago and love that thing, my next gun will probably be the nitrocat 1/2" if this one can't get fixed.

do the vanes have to go into the motor a certan way, maybe they got flipped around. are you hearing air leaking when you pull the trigger. if air is getting in and coming out the exhaust it may be a motor problem or a seal.
