Hey guys,
Looking for some knowledge. I'm doing an AHC delete on a 2003 LX470. The vendor that sent the OME parts sent coil springs 2886 instead of 2866. And, of course, they don't fit.
The vendor is closed during the weekend and I don't know yet if they'll be able to get me the correct springs in time for me to drive about 200 interstate miles to get to some training for work. The truck will be empty except me and an overnight bag.
My question is can I reinstall the stock Lexus springs with the OME 60002 (light/medium) rear shock and drive it for those limited miles without screwing up the shock absorber. I don't want to blow a brand new pair of shocks using a too light spring but I also don't want to rent a car.
Anyone have any thoughts? Preferably the thoughts backed up with an engineering degree and 20+ years experience in the suspension business. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Joe
