180k miles on my LX. I had AHC issues about 1.5 years ago and spent 2k swapping out 4 AHC actuators AKA globes. Did all the work at my shop, and flushed the system and worked great for a while...

Months ago after a run at Gorman OHV park, the front suspension started getting very bouncy again and the front end felt like it was on its way out. Decided to just go SLEE/OME 2.5" Medium Load on this thing with their Diff Drop. Also replaced all bushings with SLEE units in the rear upper and lower arms. My truck had a pretty bad axle clunk thump when shifting into Reverse and Drive. It's much improved after the bushings install, but some of the noise is still there.

Very happy with the new suspension, the ride is great. Rides like sports crossover SUV on the highway, slightly firm but still comfortable. It just feels right.

It's great on the trail as well. Aired down to about 25 psi on this trail and it was very comfortable, no complaints from the 2 and 4 yr olds riding along in the back.

Well done.

I like your wheels.

And I love seeing a touareg out there mixing it up. With 2 lockers and air suspension they are an impressive(but unreliable) beast. I SOMETIMES miss mine...but not often lol.

Looks great! I know at some point I will switch out to OME as well.

What tire are you running? It looks like Nitto's, but I'm not totally sure. Just curious as I have the same 18" as you.

It was a fun day trip. That Touareg has been running on many difficult trails with me. It's a V10 TDi, tons of torque. He also got Porsche belly pan and lower side protector (Can't really call that as slider since it's aluminum). The only draw back is suspension travel. But with all wheel traction control, it will still able to pull itself out even with just one wheel with traction.

FJ, 4Runner, LC100, LX....so who was the king of the hill?

Hey, I'm thinking of installing a 2.5" OME kit, I'm not really familiar with the difference between the two but would you suggest a medium load or heavy load. I'm thinking of also adding a front and rear bumper and some sliders.
