The front suspension AHC, does not rise well. We have looked almost at everything and I do not find the problem. Has someone had the same problem? Do they know wherefrom the problem can come?
Have you tried a fluid change? That's the cheapest thing to eliminate as a possible problem. I would look into a possible accumulator failure as well but I would change the fluid just to be sure first.
The problem already was before touching nothing. Now only with the bars, it is obvious very much, they bounce and there is no pressure ahead. The oil is new, of the accumulator it worked out very dirty.
If you lift an AHC vehicle, you need to shock mount bracket extensions so the AHC doesn't get fooled into thinking it's in med or high position (since the shocks would be extended w/ no brackets) when it's really resting on stiffer bars & higher springs. I know those brackets sell for around 3000 yen/per shock (I've only seen the ones for AHC vehicles w/ ~2inch lift). I've seen pics of a LC Cygnus w/ 6" IFS lift (they used long extension brackets) and 5spd manual connected to the V8. I don't think this would be your problem, unless for some reason, there's something that would have inherently increased the amount the front shocks are extended (eg, torsion bars cranked, front diff drop, or something like that).
Hoser, I've only seen the brackets in the accessories section in the "Hyper Rev Landcruiser" (vol 78, I think) magazine (more like a softcover book), which has pages of accessories available in Japan for the LC 40/60/70/80/90/100 series. If I have any time, I'll try to scan that part. Even for non-AHC lifts, a lot of the rigs in the LC mag show that 100 owners in Japan tend to use shock extension brackets in conjuction w/ their IFS lifts. This allows them to use stock length shocks.
