I followed instructions on the 100 forum and replaced the AHC fluid on my 2002 LX470.

Check out the fluid! Looks like cappuccino color at the bottom and dark green up to.

I used all 3L. Must buy specific Toyota/Lexus AHC fluid.

Used a Turkey Baster to remove fluid from the reservoir. Added a tube to reach the bottom of the reservoir. I wanted to get as much out of the reservoir before i started the bleeding process. Started late in the afternoon and then splashed myself with the last unit. Ugh

Definitely recommend to anyone who hasn’t changed. The new liquid is clear pink. And look at the yuck that was inside my AHC. Now I can sleep at night knowing it has clear fluid.

Any questions about the process, feel free to reach out.

any improvement in ride?

I think so. But it could be subjective. I am not sure how to objectively measure it. Old fluid was definitely nasty. Sort of like oil change. I it running smoother after a fresh synthetic oil change... I think so.

Highly recommend checking your accumulator pressures next. Probably over-pressurized and out of spec given the condition of the fluid. Cranking them back with the torsion bars made a huge difference in ride quality on mine.

Hey bud, can you link the exact procedure on this AHC fluid change? I need to do this and looking for the correct method. Thanks!

Hey bud, could you elaborate on this? How to crack back with Torsion bars?
