Even though my AHC is doing fine, it's gotta go. #1 because I'm adding a front winch and bumper as soon as @benc ships it out, #2 because it's just time, and #3 because of @paflytyer 's build thread / writeup. I'm ready for more lift and a traditional setup.

So, the current plan is to do the standard AHC disable, cap the lines, pull the necessary electrical components, etc. I will not be pulling the entire system from the truck, at least not initially.

I currently daily drive with a full rear bumper with tire swingout and HiLift, sliders, a drawer system, and a roof rack. On trips I add 4gal of gasoline, tons of gear, an ARB fridge, and a large CVT ground tent. And as I've mentioned previously, front bumper and winch are imminent.

I'm thinking I'll go for the 2.5" lift, sticking with my 33" tires. Going to avoid UCAs for now if possible, but will buy them if I have to. I've already ordered a set of Slee wheel spacers.

On that note, planning on the below:

SPRINGS: OME 860's to start. Seems to be a good starting point. Can always go to the 863-4's if something more stout is needed.

TB's: OME 303001 standard torsion bars. Not much debate here I don't think?

SHOCKS: Here's where I'm back and forth. I know I'm not going with a remote resi setup...simply don't wheel enough to justify it. I also know I'm not prob not going with OME (several reasons). That leaves me with the cheaper option (IronMan Foam Cells) and the expensive option (Icon Stage 1 kit).

I guess my main question at this point is will the icon Stage 1 be enough shock for the 2.5" of lift I want to achieve??

And since I'm still really new to the traditional suspension game, am I missing anything? Comments are 100% welcome.

It's still a quality shock and should do well with right coil and torsion bar setup. The price jump to the stage 2 is large if I recall.

If your globes are still good and ever want to sell them let me know. Trying to limp my system until I figure out what I'm doing.

I was planning on trying to sell the whole system when I took it off. Have no idea what they are worth tho. Send me a PM with an offer and I might wind up taking it all off when I do the lift.

^ they are ALL invalid. See last sentence first paragraph. I simply want to make the change.

Appreciate the input tho.

I'm having my AHC taken out by Slee in mid June. Having them install the 1.5" OME medium lift kit, with diff drop and UCAs. If my AHC stuff is any good I'll let folks on Mud know. Maybe someone will make me an interior driver side spare mounting kit for all of my AHC stuff.

Good luck with your AHC removal/replacement.

I would like to hear more about how that turns out for you. I'm thinking of the exact same setup with my wife's rig.

I can let you know, as I had this exact thing done to mine, minus the uca's. I can tell you, SLEE is a top notch operation and I couldn't be happier with the suspension set up the way it is now. The OME suspension really transforms the truck. It feels like its ready to take on anything.

That's awesome. I am so looking forward to it. It's nice that I'm within easy driving distance to Slee and BIOR, could get expensive though :) Ordered sliders from BIOR that I found on Mud too. Thanks to Ryan Hayes

Wanted to bump this thread. I was wondering if this lift was the tallest life out there? I want to maintain a comfortable ride, but want to lift it to the sky. I know that sounds childish but i think this truck looks better the higher it is. Will also have front and rear bumpers and most likely a drawer system.
