Ok, stick with me here. I have a LC with 431k on it. It's great. I also want a lift, bumpers, blah blah blah. The usual.

I like the truck enough that I'm planning to get another in a few years, and use this one as "parts bank" in that I would strip it down, and keep all the parts/mods to keep the "new" one on the road, because, let's fact it, something big is going to fail at some point.

In order to not eliminate an LX as a future purchase, is there a suspension kit that would fit my land cruiser and also work as a AHC elimination down the road?

Searching for anything AHC/Auto height is a disaster, I looked. Thanks in advance.

If your idea is to eventually eliminate the ahc, then any lift kit will do the job. OME, Ironman, Tough Dog.

ok, so the shocks aren't any different or anything like that?

If you get rid of the ahc all that will come off, the shocks, accumulators, globes, height switches etc. I removed mine, I did a small write up but I'm sure there are better ones on here to help you out. If you are wheeling this thing remove the ahc. If you have any part of that system fail it costs as much as an entire OME just to repair the ahc and it might fail again. Go for it IMO.

Great, thanks. This is all hypothetical at this point, but I kinda want to "future proof" my new bits so I can slap em' on either an LX or LC when I want to upgrade to something with less miles.

My AMG has a hydraulic suspension, and while sweet, it makes me want to die. Only room for one vehicles worth of hydraulic nonsense in this family, that's for sure.

Either way, thanks for the input.
