I am contemplating buying a 200, most likely a 2013, and wonder if I can install a set of Corbeau Baja XRS suspension seats that I already own. Corbeau lists no brackets for the later models. I know I would lose the two airbags, can I have a shop disable the CEL that will result?

The XRS seats are incredible on rough roads and also long highway marathons.

Baja XRS - Corbeau Racing Seats

Mine have lumbar and heaters, and are only a year old. They are mounted in a 2006 Ram 3500, where all the power adjustments are in the OEM seat base.

Would I lose those features if they were somehow transplanted into a 200? Are those adjustments built into the Toyota seat itself, or into the lower mount assembly?

Thanks.

HI John,

Did you manage to install the seats? I've been looking to change out the seats in my 2009 but can't seem to find any info either.

TIA

If this works, I might be really tempted but I have had side airbags blow up on me and they really softened the blow.

Tony: try one of these. cheap, stays put pretty well and reduces leather sweats.

The seats in the land cruiser have their own computer modules to control movement, memory, climate control, and airbags.
If you were going to look for more comfortable, supportive seats, you may be able to make a lexus seat work.

The wiring harnesses are different but many of the control components are similar. (memory switches, air bags, climate controls)

I have an 08 and desperately want the cooled seat feature. to that end I've got a 07 lexus LS460 drivers seat I plan on trying to swap in after the holidays. The controls are very similar to the LC, but the support features seem to be the best fit for a comfortable supported truck seating position.

airbags are the limiting factor I think..... I did a set of Sparco 600's in nmy JKU but could never code out the airbag light. on the LC there are a lot more systems that you'd be messing with....in my 80 I did a set of Elite XL's from summit.

agree that better seats would be welcome so will be watching to see ....
