Well, it's been a long while since I got rid of my 80 in '08. However, I might be grabbing my folk's '07 LC. Although I'm getting the cart before the horse, I was thinking about possible performance/mileage tweaks. I searched this forum and came up blank. I did find a thread where there was a now-defunct builder making exhaust for the 100 series a while back. Does anyone have a line on a good aftermarket exhaust for the 120 series (sans cats)? Thanks.

I'm curious why you posted in the 120 forum? Are you getting a 100 series land cruiser or a GX470? I just did a catback on mine but the 100 is prone to manifold failures and many run doug Thorley headers and system.

Ooops. Wrong area. Thanks.

the 100 and the GX share the same motor, so the 100s issue is shared with the GX, along with the tundra and sequoia and 4runners... all 4.7s have weak manifolds. also he asked about aftermarket exhausts in the 120s because he was having a hard time finding one for the 100s.

to the OP, try looking for 4runner v8s... that will source you more (2003-2009 4runners are also 120 chassis)

From the research I did, the manifold problem seemed to be mainly with the 100's. I thought the 120 might have different manifolds due to the smaller engine bay? I could be wrong.

Nope the V8 120 series have the cracked manifold issue too.
