I'm looking for an aftermarket, drive by wire, gas pedal for a 2005 Vortec. Lokar only goes back to 2007 - I"m not sure what the difference is between 2005 and 2007. I have a stock pedal in now, and it sits about 4" too far into the cab and I'm looking for something that will mount lower.

I am desperate for a lower pedal too. My worry is a pedal with half the travel will have to be twice as touchy. I have a 2000 cable, so I would have to switch the throttle body and, I think, the PCM. I don't think I can put a DBW tune on a cable PCM.
good to know a 2007 will not solve my problem.

Im afraid the only solution to making a fixed hard top 45 work for a 6 foot human is to cut and extend the tub.

I'd really like to know, if anyone can enlighten me, what changed between 2005 and 2007 - the connector, the PCM, the sensor in the pedal?

Look on lt1swap.com. he has the info on swapping between pedals. If i rember correctly, you need to swap some wires around.

Thanks

In case anyone comes here looking for an answer. I found nothing available for pre 2007 vortecs. If fitment is the issue, like it was for me, there are several different styles of pedals used in 2005. I'm trying an adjustable one from a Tahoe or something that I hope I can get low enough to work.
