Anyone ever found an external oil pump to use when running at high inclines and declines? This is for my f engine in my fj40-69. I am thinking of say 1 gpm with a spray nozzel that could be mounted into the oil pan and fired up when needed for back and front end crank lubrication during those moments when angle of the crank prohibits splash since the oil is at the other end of the oil pan.

Anyone ever tried this before?

The lubrication system to the moving components of this engine is a pressure-type, not a splash-type.

The Land Cruiser F/2F crankshaft does not splash oil around in the pan, as it does not run in an oil bath.

It will splash oil around when at steep angles, when the oil in the pan collects at one end or the other.

i am not aware of any oil channels/journals in the crank

I was not aware that the f engine has any pressure journals on the crank and rod bearings.

Good God Man!!

Wouldn't work to well without them.

I can't remeber, does the wrist pin get oil also? From the diagram, it appears it does not.

For the original poster, all main journals get good pressurized oil. The deep sump, and huge capacity of oil for an F engine means you always have oil, unless you are upside down. Racker shafts get oil also, and the rockers themselves spurt oil at the contacts of the valves and stems. Pretty fair oiling system for the engine design. 2F engines are better than F's in the oiling department.
