Asking for a friend here, trying to help.

He changed the fuel filters at a local mechanic here in Baja. The guy didn’t pre-fill the filters nor did they pump it with the little pump thing. He drove 100 feet and it died. I’ve been trying to help him with this. I pumped it until it couldn’t pump anymore. I have loosened the injector bolts until fuel comes out. It will run fine at idle but when you take it up to 1500 RPMs, it’s sputters and dies. He’s got the diesel care Fuel filter kit as well. I’ve attached the photo. Can’t find much info on searches on bleeding this thing or or what it just seems that there may be something else here causing this problem because I have a hard time believing that these things are the sensitive. if they were, I think there would be more info about it, but maybe not Help please.

You might have better luck in the Diesel/24V section.

sometimes its that prime pump thats letting air in. If it's been 10 years since the last time it was used it might have started to leak air into the fuel supply line now that it's been disturbed. how long did you let it idle before trying to drive it? clear hose from the filter to the pump will tell you if air getting in is an issue. looks like it has a second aftermarket fuel filter is that right? what filter was changed? both? why was the filter changed? was it having an issue before?
