Hey there,

After a lots of waiting it's finally time to begin looking into importing a 70 Series.

I'm looking for advice and recommendations regarding companies that you guys have personally had great experiences with, whether it be importing from Japan or the Middle East. Private dealers or auctions, I'm open with looking into both.

Thanks for reading,
Matt

You have to decide for yourself what you need or want, as "70-series" is quite broad. In Japan, there are auction companies and resellers. From the latter, I have heard good things about Flexdreams. From the Middle East, you need to be super careful, as many current sales are odometer rollbacks, hodgepodges of different vehicles, resprays, etc.
You can also consider importing from Australia, especially if you're looking for a Troopy.

I have imported two 70's to Canada. A little about import is in each thread:

Thanks for the reply. I said 70-series as a catch all term, but I do have a specific model in mind and what not. Funnily enough it’s also an HZJ76, narrow or wide nose, I’m open to both.

I may need to pick your brain a bit here.

I’d love to know who you used as a broker to help you with all the paperwork of the import process. Also, how you initially set up the shipping process from Australia (also a broker?). I guess it also helps to have friends in the local market you’re buying from.

Either way it’s a big bite of info to chew on at the start but I’m excited to get into it.
