A group of my college buddies and I take a trip to Big Bend National Park every year to catch up, drink beer, and do some 4 wheelin' together. Next year, I am thinking that we may change it up a bit and go to Arkansas. I went there as a kid and remember lots of great places to hike, camp, and explore.

Are there some areas of the state where there are stock-friendly trails and good places to camp? We may also do some canoeing or rafting while we're there. I want to plan a good all-around outdoor experience. We'll probably be there for about 4 or 5 days.

Where should we go?

The mullberry river area is nice, from there up to the buffalo river. Great rivers but you need to go early before they dry up for the summer. The area from Harrison AR down through Cass AR.

When you say stock, are you referring to your truck? It's set up fine to run all of the level 3 trails at Superlift. You could easily spend a day or two at the park without getting bored.

If you don't want to camp at the park, I think there's a national park/forest nearby that may have something.

I have heard good things about the Superlift park. I have also been looking into the Mulberry River and Buffalo River areas. Thanks for the suggestions.

When I say stock trails, I mean that I'd rather spend time cruising/sightseeing than piling rocks and winching up canyons.

I read some stuff about the Ouachita National Forest that sounds promising. Anyone wheeled there? Looks like many miles of desolate camping and trails...my kind of fun.

You need to post on the GCC club site and Razorback Club site on mud. There are a lot of guys in GCC that live in that area and can help you out.

Buffalo river is my favorite place in the world. It s only an hour away we camp up there all the time.

Hot springs is blast. First weekend in June is the Razorback Ramble. Lots o fun with lots o cruisers.

Poteau Mt. is in Oklahoma by a few miles. thats fun but more hard core than your probably lookin for.

There is a secret spot not far from russelville that is all 1-3 trails and is great too. Big Piney river area.

Holler when you up this way.
