I have been told that the auto-on head light switch can be adjusted to turn on earler or later depending on the darkness.. I would like to have mine come on earler as everbody else has their lights on before my lights come on in the auto setting... 1998 LC

Thanks in Advance

I think Jukelemon posted about this a while back. Maybe search his threads.

right hand side of the dash is a little bubble, turn it one way or the other, its in the owners manual

How 'bout having the dealer just turn the DTRL off and turn the switch manually when you want the lights on?

Thanks.. But which way do I turn the dohicky... right or left to have turn on earler ?

The manual says to let your dealer adjust it..

I will look it up for you if you like. I thought it was counter clock to increase sensitivity

Thanks... But I think I'll play with it tonight..

I just finished programing a new key.... fun.. but works .. :bounce:

It is in the service manual. And I just did this last weekend. ;) I seem to remember that clockwise made it more sensitive. But I wouldn't bet on it. ;)

I had some trouble getting a hold of the knob to turn it. I ended up using a little pick on the side of the knob. I found that once I could turn it, it was pretty easy to get the sensitivity where I wanted it.

You are right... Clockwise it was....

Thanks to all.. This forum is great..

cool thread. I want to increase my sensitivity as well. During dusk hours, the lights go on and off and cant make up their mind. Since I put HIDs on the car, I dont want the blow the ballasts by having them switch back and forth

It is nice to have someone like me asking the stupid questions that quite a few want to ask but think they would look foolish asking .. !!
