Driving around 55 I get an acetone smell on occasion....enough for it to be a problem....Doesnt smell like unburnt fuel...more like finger nail polish remover/acteone....havent had a manicure in over a week....so.....

Soft top is up but not totally impervious to exhaust fumes....exhaust runs out behind drivers rear tire....New exhaust pipes and muffler...Header....No leaks that I'm aware of....

New paint?

Not that I can think of....everything was painted a few years ago....and I havent painted my seat brackets yet....

Maybe exhaust fumes are coming in where the hard doors don't seal with the soft top....Its just never smelled like acetone before...

I've got to find/fix it though

You could be getting a whiff of HCs from the engine bay.......:frown:

It could be....It was leaking where the hose connects but I fixed it a month ago....Would it smell like acetone though? or maybe fresh fuel dripping on something making it smell that way? My wife says it isnt a fresh gas smell and she would smell it long before I would...

How new is new? All my new headers and all my cheaper mufflers smelt crazy bad when they were brand new. Also when they ran your exhaust is there anyway the muffler is to close to your floor cooking whatever paint or bedliner or carpet you have down. :meh: I have had it happen....
